Directions

When in doubt look at the map.  Check your position at each point.  Keep straight on unless otherwise directed.

01 Left from car park, left at junction, pass Folk Museum, immediately gate on left into yard (signed), stile into field and left by boundary, stile and by fence to left (waymark), swing left, stile/fieldgate (waymark).
02 Gate and footbridge to path through wood, fieldgate, grassy path.
03 Cross road at signs, 1 o’clock downhill for 50 yards then left at fence corner (waymark on tree) and uphill near field boundary to left, pass house, grassy path/track by/within 50 yards of boundary to left.
04 Cross road, path to right of beck. 
05 Cross main tributary, path disappears, 100 yards then suggest crossing to other side of beck for easier going for last half mile.
06 Left to wide dirt/stone track, 300 yards, path/heathery track on left (cairn and painted rock), left to metalled drive, 400 yards, grass track on right (large painted rock on left).
