Directions

When in doubt look at the map.  Check your position at each point.  Keep straight on unless otherwise directed.

01 From car park, right to Danby road (verge, pavement), cross junction in Danby.


02 Path on right by wall (fingerpost), 100 yards, fieldgate to farm track, gates to right of garage.


03 Gates to moor, 20 yards, grass track on right, ignore turn after 20 yards, downhill, becomes path, stay by gully to your left.

 
04 Very small footbridge, path.


05 Very small footbridge, path with beck to left.


06 Cross beck, 10 yards, fork left and path cuts back 50 yards up hillside, cross heather for 50 yards. Right to stone track near grouse butts.

07 Barrier gate, 10 yards and right to wide stone track.


08 Path/track on right (bridleway sign).

09 Fork right to path for 50 yards to standing stone/Siss Cross (yellow blob marks), path downhill. Cross stone trod (near waymarked post). Cross road to track (signed), 200 yards.

10 Left to track near house, 20 yards, left to track at junction/bridge, uphill.

11 Immediately before fields, second right to grassy track about 25 yards to right of wall, old gatepost then path angles 1 o'clock down for 200 yards, left by wall.

12 Fieldgate near wall corner (broken waymark far side), right to grass track, fieldgate into wood, fork left, gate and left to road.
