Keep straight on unless otherwise directed. 01From car park at Staithes, pass Captain Cook pub, to road/pavement, cross A174, right to pavement, 100 yards, left to road (signed Dalehouse), two bridges.
02 Right to Ridge Lane. Ford/footbridge, uphill.
03 Track and stile/fieldgate on right (no official sign), swings right over beck, 100 yards, left at junction, through woods, ignore a track on right, open ground.
04 Before left-hand bend and bench, grassy path on right for 50 yards, into wood (waymarked post). Stile, cross Railway Line, stile and immediately stile on right to field-edge path (waymark).
05 Pass brick building, 25 yards, stile into wood (no sign), 50 yards downhill, over 2 streams, path uphill, ignore faint path on right after 5 yards, concreted stepping stones, path, steps up, stile into field and left by field edge, stile and maintain height keeping within 50 yards of boundary to left, stile and up embankment.
06 Cross main road, path to right of drive (sign), old gates, right, 10 yards on track, left to grassy field-edge track to right of hedge (fingerpost).
07 Snickelgate and immediately fieldgate on left (waymark), fieldgate, stile/fieldgate and right, by fence (waymark), left at field corner for 50 yards, stile.
08 Cross road, stile/fieldgate (fingerpost), 50 yards, stile and right, by fence.
09 Stile and right to cliff-edge path outside fields. Stile (waymark). Join lane through Boulby. At junction grassy path ahead (fingerpost) through fields.
10 At old stone gateposts and bench, cross grass and left to old road now closed, at fenced cliff fall join track, rejoin old road.
11 At Staithes, left at junction to road downhill (waymark on fence), bridge on right over Staithes Beck, alley, right to road uphill to car park.
