451 Ravenscar

Directions

When in doubt look at the map. Check your position at each point. Keep straight on unless otherwise directed.
01.
From hotel gates, road uphill (pavement), road on right (signed dead-end and bridleway). Tarmac turns to track.
02.
Left at view bench in scrub (about 20 yards before moor), uphill beside fence, at corner, to avoid bracken filled path, carry straight on to viewbench, path 20 yards to road and left for 200 yards.
03.
Track on right (sign), nearly a mile.
04.
Right fork (waymarked post) to path/track gently downhill.
05.
Left to track, 10 yards, track on right between houses (signed Robin Hoods Bay), through yard, gate to fenced path, gate and 11 o’clock (waymark) across field then downhill by fence, fieldgate, step-stream.
06.
Right to concrete track (fingerpost), 100 yards, fork right to stony track (waymark) behind then in front of houses, stay on track, swings right to reach road at last farm. Right to road.
07.
At railway bridge, path on left down to old trackbed and right.
