Daffodil lovers visiting Farndale for the annual show of these marvellous wild flowers got a shock today, Sunday 6 April 2008, when snow came down as forecast and the Daffodil Bus run by North York Moors National Park got stuck in the valley. Local residents had to put up stranded motorists, Land Rover owners were called out to do their bit. In the evening a tractor was able to pull out the Daffodil Bus. A host of frozen daffodils indeed.
